Evaluation & Diagnosis
We examine the affected tooth, take digital X-rays, and confirm whether a crown is the best option or if additional treatment (such as a root canal) is required first.

Tooth Preparation
Under local anesthesia, the tooth is gently reshaped to make room for the crown. Any decay is removed and the structure is built up if needed.

Digital Impression & Shade Match
A digital impression (or traditional mold) is taken. We select the exact shade to match your natural teeth and send the specifications to our in-house ceramist.

Temporary Crown
A temporary crown is placed to protect the tooth and maintain aesthetics while the permanent crown is crafted (typically 3–7 days).

Fitting & Cementation
We try the permanent crown, check fit, bite, and color match. Once approved, it is cemented in place. The entire procedure typically requires 2–3 visits over one week.

With proper care, high-quality crowns last 10 to 20+ years. Zirconia and E-max porcelain are particularly resistant to staining and wear.
Daily routine: Brush twice a day and floss carefully around the crown margin — this is where plaque accumulates and can cause decay underneath the crown. An interdental brush or water flosser helps keep the gum line clean.
Avoid: biting hard objects (ice, pens, hard candy), using your teeth as tools, and chewing on the crown side immediately after cementation. If you grind your teeth at night, we may recommend a custom night guard to extend the crown’s lifespan.
Professional check-ups: a cleaning every 6 months lets us monitor the crown margin, surrounding gum health, and the tooth’s integrity over time. Any local dentist can perform these routine visits.
